American actress Sandra Bullock, 61, shared a collection of old photos on her Instagram account on Sunday, May 10, including a rare picture of her with her two adopted children, Louis and Lila, whom she adopted in her forties.
Bullock captioned the photos, “To all mothers, however you became mothers, Happy Mother’s Day. We are all bound by this lifelong honor.”
One of the photos showed Bullock looking up at the sky while her two young children sat on her lap wearing what appeared to be festive Halloween costumes.
Touching family photos and memories with her late mother
Alongside the photo in which she appeared with her two children, Bullock posted another photo of herself with her late mother, Helga Meyer, and also included an old photo of her mother carrying her and her sister, Jessen Bullock-Prado, in the snow during their childhood.
She added in her touching comment, “Mom and Grandma, thank you for teaching me so much. We miss you both so much… and I’m sorry I was a naughty child.”

Despite her constant efforts to keep her family life out of the media spotlight, the star of the film Blind Side had previously spoken about her decision to adopt her children late in life, stressing that the timing was perfect for her and her family.
During her appearance on Red Table Talk in 2022, she said: “I don’t know why this was the only way, but I’m so glad that fate made me wait. I was excited, anxious, and really wanted it, but life told me: it’s not going to happen the way you expect.”

She added: The idea of my daughter becoming like me was very frightening to me.
